Nursing Home/Long-term Care
Appropriate prescribing and correct administration of medications is critical. VHQC consults with many nursing home and long-term care facilities on drug safety issues. Of particular concern in these settings, is the medication regimens that may have unintended consequences for inhibiting mobility. This can lead to falls and contribute to an increase in the occurrence of pressure ulcers.
