| Nursing Homes in Virginia are participating in
Virginia Health Quality Center (VHQC) programs to improve the quality of care
delivered to residents. |
 |

VHQC, the Medicare quality improvement organization (QIO) for
Virginia, provides services to nursing homes interested in assessing and
improving the quality of care.
|
| To accomplish this goal, VHQC takes a leading role in
introducing
improvement projects that will assist nursing homes to implement and
improve care within their facility.
|
| The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides
detailed information about the past performance of every Medicare and Medicaid
